This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 am–2 pm. Excellent date night meal and great for gluten free options (my husband has Celiac and the restaurant is careful and aware of cross contamination). I've eaten there 4-5 times and I love thr Chicke Curry Bowl! My husband enjoyed is whole fish which I also tried and it was excellent even though I don't typically eat anything except shrimp and salmon. It is really nice to have a Celiac safe place to eat at and then hang out in the downtown Cary Park next door. We will be back soon!

SAAP was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent. The food was the real star of the experienceβ€”everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. We tried several different dishes, including the noodles, fried rice, grilled chicken, shrimp, and vegetables, and every dish was delicious. The meats were tender and perfectly seasoned, the shrimp was crispy and flavorful, and the fresh herbs and spices really brought everything together. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the preparation and presentation. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and it was great being able to share several dishes and experience different flavors. If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Laotian food in Cary, SAAP is definitely worth visiting.

It’s been a while since I’ve left a review for a restaurant but I had to get on here for tonight’s meal! We both got Tiger shrimp for an appetizer and the Seafood Green Curry for our main course which has tons of local NC seafood in it (soft shell crab, shrimp, scallops). They do not skimp on the meat. I am a big eater and there was so much in there! The flavors were unreal too! Not our first time going here and definitely not our last. I forget our waiter’s name but she was awesome!! The service has always been great. This is in our top 10 favorite restaurants in NC.

Really enjoyed my experiences at SAAP so far. I’ve been twice now, and both times the food was very good with generous portions. One thing I would definitely recommend: make reservations. Both times I successfully ate there, I had reservations ahead of time, and on other occasions when I tried to stop by without one, they were too busy to accommodate us. It’s clearly a popular spot, especially with the downtown Cary location. The restaurant itself has a really nice atmosphere too. It’s newer, well decorated, and has a fun, modern vibe without feeling overly formal. They also offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and being right beside Downtown Cary Park makes the whole area really enjoyable to walk around before or after dinner. Parking directly in front of the restaurant is somewhat limited, but there’s plenty of parking nearby between the library and surrounding downtown parking areas, so it’s still very manageable. As someone with celiac disease, I especially appreciated how knowledgeable the staff were about gluten-free options and cross-contamination practices. A large portion of the menu is either naturally gluten-free or can be modified, and I felt comfortable eating th

This is my new favorite spot. The hostess seated us immediately, even though we were late 30 minutes due to a mistake on my part. Every staff member greets you when you pass them on the way in, and on the way out. Our waiter, Kenny, provided excellent service. Our food came within 20 minutes. The food was looking soooooo good I almost forgot to take pictures!!! The vegan options were so delicious!!!!!! I will definitely return very soon, and I highly recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a great meal in a nice, cozy atmosphere!!
